Beacon Hill Area Neighborhood Association

BHANA is a voluntary association of residents (homeowners and renters), property owners and local businesses. Founded in 1978, it promotes the “preservation, protection, and development of the Beacon Hill Area, to provide a better quality environment for living and enjoying the rich multi-cultural heritage of both past and present by extending opportunities to residents; landowners; or anyone doing business in the area; or any interested party through education, along lines of neighborhood and community affairs, and local topics of immediate interest...” We charge no dues, and everyone is invited and encouraged to participate.

BHANA’s general membership meeting is the second Monday of almost every month. Our seven-member board meets almost every month on the last Monday. Meetings are open to all. To keep our membership informed, we produce and print an eight-page monthly newsletter which we deliver to doorsteps through a network of volunteers to 2,200 households; more copies are distributed to local businesses for patrons to pick up.

Erin Campbell

President

I moved here in 2021 and was welcomed with open arms by the community and am in love with our neighborhood. I have served on the BHANA board this past year as a director and am excited to represent you all as President for 2024. I have lived in Ohio, Michigan, France, Washington DC, California, Tennessee and now call San Antonio home. I grew up around politics and believe strongly in the grassroots power that residents have to create resilient and inclusive communities. I want to use my experience with local government and former life as an event planner to foster engagement, advance Beacon Hill priorities, and be an advocate for what makes our neighborhood “weirdly special”.

If you see me around the neighborhood, it will typically be with my big poofy gray dog named Jet. Please say hi and introduce yourself- it’s the people that live here that made me comfortable stepping into this leadership role. I look forward to meeting you!

Daniel Hubbeling

Vice President

My wife and I (and too many cats) have lived in Beacon Hill since 2008. This will be my seventh year serving on the board. That means I will receive an embroidered BHANA smoking jacket at the end of my term.

Heather Henke Rosenblatt

Secretary

Eighteen years ago my husband and I were the first to view a new listing in Beacon Hill. We immediately put in an offer, closed the following month, and we’ve been here ever since! We have two children, two dogs, two inside cats, and a few feral cats—not to mention various skunks, raccoons, and opossums who come and go as they please. I served several years as PTO Secretary at my children’s school and am excited to serve closer to home as this year’s BHANA Secretary. I look forward to meeting more neighbors at our meetings and neighborhood events.

Diana Flores

Treasurer

I have lived in The Beacon Hill Neighborhood for almost six years but grew up near here in the Los Angeles Heights area. I am a retired CPA, spending most of my career in the Corporate Finance area of USAA.  We have 3 grown children and a cat. Our family has lived all over the city, but Beacon Hill has been our favorite neighborhood! I previously served as the BHANA Treasurer for two years and enjoyed it so much I thought I’d give it another run.  My husband Robert and I also head up the BHANA Benevolent Committee.

Elizabeth Eichhorn

Director

My husband, Victor, and I moved to Beacon Hill in late April 2022. We went to porchfest the weekend after we moved in and knew that we had chosen the perfect neighborhood for us. You can usually catch me in my front yard planting more native plants, walking the streets in the early morning, or at Bright. I have spent the past year being the chair for the Heart of the Neighborhood and am excited to now be on the board.

Jennifer Ninedorf

Director

In 2017, my husband Robert Owen and I were driving through Beacon Hill admiring all the beautiful houses when we found our home on Magnolia. We have lived here for the past six years and enjoyed everything the neighborhood has to offer. I have been a manager of multi-family housing for more than 15 years and a realtor since 2015. I enjoy camping, traveling, and looking at houses! I am looking forward to serving on the board this year in our wonderful neighborhood!

Sally Seeker

Director

After living in many places and serving in the Army, I moved to San Antonio in 2001 and to W. Lullwood, Beacon Hill in 2007, where I live with my dog and cats (inside) and TNR cats, raccoons, skunks, and 'possums (outside).  I am an attorney with the Federal Government, and I have (and continue to) volunteer with many local nonprofit organizations, but I look forward to volunteering with BHANA just outside my door in this, "The Queen Suburb."
