Beacon Hill Area Neighborhood Association
BHANA is a voluntary association of residents (homeowners and renters), property owners and local businesses. Founded in 1978, it promotes the “preservation, protection, and development of the Beacon Hill Area, to provide a better quality environment for living and enjoying the rich multi-cultural heritage of both past and present by extending opportunities to residents; landowners; or anyone doing business in the area; or any interested party through education, along lines of neighborhood and community affairs, and local topics of immediate interest...” We charge no dues, and everyone is invited and encouraged to participate.
BHANA’s general membership meeting is the second Monday of almost every month. Our seven-member board meets almost every month on the last Monday. Meetings are open to all. To keep our membership informed, we produce and print an eight-page monthly newsletter which we deliver to doorsteps through a network of volunteers to 2,200 residents; more copies are distributed to local businesses for patrons to pick up.
